Alaska Ice Fishing-Listen to the Fish!

The importance of using electronics during ice fishing is immeasurable. Being able to identify bottom structure, depth, fish location, and fish activity will increase your success 1,000 times over. Without using a sonar, flasher, or camera you are fishing blind if you are on unfamiliar water. Never fish blind or deaf. With properly set electronics you can interpret what the fish wants and how the fish wants it. In this short video, the fish is telling me, "I want to eat but what you are offering is not quite right for this moment." Once you watch a fish engage with your lure you can determine critical information such as aggressiveness, willingness to strike, and overall mood. This fish is telling me I need to change lures, change colors or change size. I will listen to what he says, as should you.
